A portfolio is a group of projects
grouped for some reason. It can be projects implemented for one and the
same customer, or projects that are in fact components of a larger
project.
Portfolio management is a standard
activity in mid-size or enterprise-level companies, where projects can
be so numerous that there is a need to group them for ease of handling.
