Q. I try to add an activity or post a message and I get the following error:
System.Web.HttpException: Could not access 'CDO.Message' object. --->
System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by
the target of an invocation. --->
A. First of all make sure you have the correct information in your SMTP settings (page "Administration - Settings - Notifications" - section "E-Mail sending settings").
Then check if you have McAfee VirusScan or any other Antivirus/Firewall software installed on SQL server box. These applications might block SMTP port 25. Unblock this port in firewall/antivirus settings for SQL server to be able to send emails.
