EP.NET does install on Windows Server 2008 / IIS 7, but if the auto installer fails with an error regarding "system.Nullreferenceexception - object not set to an instance of an object" then use the advanced installer, on the same download page.

This error occurs when a Web site doesn't have the "HTTP binding" information set so the EP.NET installer can't proceed without this required data.
Please check if your Web site has "HTTP binding" specified. For doing this open the IIS Manager, Site Properties - Bindings.
Also if IIS FTP server is installed the 'Default FTP Site' should have at least one HTTP binding specified.
