Color-coded CPI / SPI Fields in Activity Center
Idea shared by Fred Jones - December 18, 2015 at 10:58 PM

Here is a suggestion that was made by one of our Easy Projects customers. I am posting it in the community to determine how many others think this might be of assistance.

Latest update allowed CPI / SPI to be displayed in Activity Center and the request is them to be color-coded based on threshold set in General Settings.

This will make it easier for customers to tell what is a GOOD CPI/SPI rating vs BAD.

If CPI/SPI is below threshold = Red

If CPI/SPI is above threshold = Green

Here is input on this request sent by Justin Blanchfield of SES Consulting who use CPI / SPI extensively in the operations.
"I think that it will help increase participation with CPI and SPI, which is only a good thing.  It will probably take SES 6 months to start effectively using the new CPI and SPI tool to do the following:
  • Identify EP data that requires updating (like finding a needle in a hay stack without it)
  • Identify priority tasks
  • Monitor performance
These are all very valuable things but requires a fairly advanced EP user to take advantage of.

Color coding will likely help people if it's clearly communicated what colors mean.  I suggest red, yellow, and green."
