Status types

EP Help General > Settings > Workflow

The status type is a major attribute shared by a given number of statuses. For example, you can have a status called 'Closed', another one called 'Completed' and a third one called 'Finalized'. The thing that relates these three statuses to one another is the fact that they are essentially statuses of something completed, no longer worked on. Accordingly, such type is called 'Treat as completed'. In other words, you can have a number of statuses but if they all are given the 'Treat as completed' type then any process, e.g. a project, activity, portfolio, assigned any of the statuses will be understood as 'completed'.

Status types available in Easy Projects are:

Type

Effect

Description

Treat as Open

Portfolios, projects or activities with this status are considered open.

Statuses of this type are used for work items in progress.

Treat as Hold

Portfolios, projects or activities with this status are considered on hold.

Statuses of this type are used for work items that have been suspended, put on pause or hold, i.e.pending continuation. For example such activities are shown on the Pending tab on My assignments and are not used in resource loading calculations.

Treat as Completed

Portfolios, projects or activities with this status are considered completed.

Statuses of this type are used for work items the completion rate of which is 100%.

NOTE: If you cannot see an item with a treat-as-completed status in Activity Center or elsewhere make sure the option 'Show completed projects/activities' is enabled in My Options (User menu).
