Tag Assignees
Idea shared by carmen garcia - October 6, 2015 at 5:03 PM
Hello people. I have a few months using easy projects and as I have some assignees to several projects and activities, when I want to post a message for someone in particular I feel like i want to type the @and the name of the assigne... That would be an awesome tool because, people will know who am I talking too.
and that tag can be shown as a red dot as soon as the assignees get it... like when someone tags you on facebook and the notification shows on the left side of the screen or with a red number on the top of my panel.
That would be very usefull because everyone stays logged during work ours... instead of receiving emails of notifications.. *it can be both.
let me know your thoughts.

Employee Post
Hi Carmen and Darcy,
We are currently developing a feature that will indeed allow you to @mention a person in a specific task or projects messageboard. We don't have an exact ETA for its release yet but it is in the works.

This would be extremely helpful for our teams, as well. We would like to be able to tag the user @userfirstname in the comment thread, which would then trigger an automatic email notification to be sent to the user.

As it stands now, everyone from our team is not necessarily logged into EP all day, so an email would be our preferred method of receipt of the comment. Though having the red dot, as suggested above, would be great to have too. So, we are in agreement with the proposal in having both.

Right now, our teams receive email notifications every 1 hour to 4 hours, depending upon the employee and their need to engage with the tool. The notifications come through like a digest then, with a long thread of many comments and changes listed that have occurred over the last hour to 4 hours. As such, things often get overlooked. Having a tagging functionality that works similarly to your Approval button would be really helpful.
